Christmas Chocolate Chip Cookies

INGREDIENTS:
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
2 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
1/3 cup Christmas sprinkles
INSTRUCTIONS:
1 Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2 Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
3 In another bowl, beat softened butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until creamy.
4 Mix in the egg and vanilla until smooth.
5 Gradually add the dry ingredients and mix just until a soft dough forms.
6 Fold in the chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and Christmas sprinkles.
7 Scoop generous balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each one.
8 Press a few extra chocolate chips and sprinkles on top for that bakery-style finish.
9 Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden but the centers still look soft.
10 Let them rest on the tray for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
Cookie Tip:
Don’t overbake them, the slightly soft centers are what give these cookies that thick, chewy, melt-in-your-mouth texture.
